I’m beyond excited to start this journey with you. If you’ve landed here—congratulations!—you’re probably someone who knows just how fast life’s little moments can zoom by. Maybe you’ve marveled at the tiny, impossibly cute toes of your newborn (seriously, how can feet be that small?). Or perhaps you’ve just survived the joyful, messy chaos of a family gathering (bonus points if you left with your sanity intact!). Or maybe you’re eagerly anticipating those first giggles, first steps, and all the milestones that come with being a parent.

This blog is like your cozy corner of the internet where we’ll celebrate all of these beautiful, blink-and-you-miss-it moments together. Whether it’s your baby’s gummy smile or the hilariously lopsided birthday cake you stayed up way too late making, we’re going to cherish it all.

Meet Denise, Your Newborn & Family Photographer

I’m Denise, a photographer based in Paris, Ontario, specializing in newborn, baby, family, and milestone photography. My journey in photography has been fueled by a deep passion for capturing moments that matter. As a multi-award-winning professional photographer, I take great pride in offering families beautiful, timeless portraits that they can cherish for generations to come.

Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From capturing candid shots of family gatherings to exploring the magic of newborn photography, I’ve always been drawn to the authenticity of real moments. This passion led me to pursue professional training and accreditation to ensure that every session I offer is not only beautiful but also safe and professional with the highest standards.

I’m proud to be a Nationally Accredited Professional Photographer with the PPOC (Professional Photographers of Canada). I currently hold two accreditations in:

1. Newborn/Infant Photography
2. Newborn and Children Photography

Additionally, I am an Accredited Professional with APNPI (Accredited Professional Newborn Photographers International), where I hold both a Newborn Safety Certificate and hold a qualification as a Qualified Newborn Professional Photographer. Safety is always my top priority, especially when working with the littlest members of your family, and these certifications ensure I’m up-to-date on best practices.

The name Meraki comes from a Greek word that means to do something with soul, creativity, and love—to put a piece of yourself into what you do. This perfectly encapsulates how I approach each and every session. At Meraki Photographic Creations, my goal is to create an experience that’s not only professional but also deeply personal and heartfelt. I want each photo I deliver to be more than just an image; I want it to be a memory that stirs emotion and tells a story.
